Application procedure

Procedure of DVD Format Verification
The purpose of DVD Format Verification is to confirm that manufacturer understands the test procedure and can make a DVD product in compliance with DVD Format.
Next, We would like to describe the procedure of the format verification service according to the DVD Format/Logo Licensing Agreement.
Please obtain the necessary Test Specifications from DVD Format/Logo Licensing Corporation first.
Please read through the content of the test specifications.

  1. First, please fill in the Preliminary Information of each Test specification Form 1 (in English, please) and submit it to our laboratory.

    Based on the information, we will make NDA and send it to you. Please sign it and return it to us.
    It is possible to return it at the same time as submission of the sample.
  2. Please test your product according to each Form, fill in and submit it with the test sample. Necessary number of test samples are described in Annex C of Test Specification. Otherwise, we will inform you of it.
  3. Please inform us beforehand of the date you send the sample for our schedule.

    If the reservation can be made according to the schedule, we will execute the test within two or three weeks after the receipt of the sample, and inform you of the result.
    If the reservation cannot be made according to the schedule, it might take for a while after the receipt of the sample.
  4. The Confirmation will be issued if there is no problem in the verification result.
    At the same time the result will be reported from our laboratory to DVD Format/Logo Licensing Corporation.
  5. Please contact us about the verification cost.
    *Additional fee will be needed in the case that problem occurs and test is conducted again.
    *After the test finishes, we will issue the invoice.
  6. The test sample will be kept for three years in our laboratory for continual verification.
    It will be returned to you afterward.
  7. The sample should be tested again when there is a problem in the 1st test.
